R&A CPAs is seeking an Assurance – Senior to join our team in Tucson, Arizona.

Position Overview
The Assurance – Senior, with guidance from management, leads the delivery of assigned projects ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget. Assists in developing technical expertise, and leadership and management skills within the assurance team. Able to support business development initiatives and provide exceptional service to our clients. Creates and maintains excellent client relationships. Monitors and recommends opportunities to optimize productivity and realization metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs assigned work in accordance with R&A's Quality Control Document and Attestation Policies and Procedures Document and ensures compliance with current professional standards.
- Serves as lead accountant for client engagements; consistently and proactively manages assigned staff in completing high-quality work within budgets/timelines.
- Maintains effective and timely communication with both management and client representatives to ensure engagements run smoothly and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in delivering a range of assurance services.
- Excellent analytical, technical, time management, communication, and teamwork/collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and GAGAS rules and standards.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with accounting software a plus.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards in all personal and professional activities.
- Models Ideal Team Player attributes: hungry, humble, smart.
- Consistently employs active listening skills to ensure understanding and engage effectively both internally and with clients.
- Ability to learn about other services offered by R&A to help meet the needs of our clients.
- Positive, proactive attitude.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
- Two to four years of audit and financial reporting experience in medium to large public accounting firm or equivalent.
- Working to obtain CPA certification a plus.
