Tom is R&A's CEO and shareholder. He has more than 35 years of public accounting experience, specializing in tax compliance and planning for businesses and high-net-worth individuals. His career in public accounting began at R&A CPAs in 1984; he became a partner in 1989.
Tom earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Northern Arizona University in 1983. He is licensed in the securities industry and holds a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Throughout his career he has stayed involved in professional organizations and today is a member of the AICPA and the Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA). His community involvement includes serving as board Chair for the YMCA of Southern Arizona and treasurer for The Beating Hearts , a not-for-profit organization offering literacy programs on the Hopi Reservation. He also is active with the Sigma Chi Alumni Association. Outside of the office, Tom enjoys participating in a variety of motor sports and spending time with his family.
