Charles L. Charvoz, CPA, CrFA

Charlie is a CPA as well as a Certified Forensic Accountant with 35 years public accounting experience. He is predominately involved as an assurance partner for R&A. Charlie is also involved with tax and consulting engagements for several family business groups.

Charlie began his career in 1980 with R&A’s predecessors, Fox & Company and Grant Thornton. From 1988 to 2011 he was the managing partner of several different local accounting practices and merged back into the R&A practice in November 2012. His areas of experience are diverse –including real estate, construction, manufacturing, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and fraud risk assessments, reorganizations and debt restructures, financial services, employee benefit plans, not-for-profit organizations and captive insurance companies.

Charlie holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Arizona. He is a licensed CPA in Arizona and Oregon, a member of both the American Institute of CPA’s and the Arizona Society of CPA’s, and is a licensed Certified Forensic Accountant and a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting.

He is a leader in the Tucson community and enjoys time spent serving several community organizations such as the World Players of Handball Foundation (President) and the Community Gardens of Tucson (Treasurer) as well as past service with Renewal Counseling, Desert Christian Schools, and Chairman of Young Life of Tucson.

Charlie and his wife Jodi grew up in Tucson and have four lovely daughters and two granddaughters.
